If you experience your Evie Pass RFID not working at an Evie charging station. This can be attributed to four causes.

  1. The Evie Pass RFID has not been set up correctly in the Evie App.
Once you have received your Evie Pass in the mail you will need to link it to your account through the Evie App in order for charging to work. Read more about How to Activate Your Evie Pass.

Ensure your payment method is set up as a credit or debit card in the Evie App.
Note: RFID does not support PayPal or Apple Pay as a payment method.

  2. The Evie Pass RFID reader is not working on the machine.
A working RFID reader will blink with a blue light every few seconds as seen in this video. If there is no blinking blue light or if the solid blue light remains on but does not blink please notify us immediately.
Note: Please provide a video recording and exact station ID showing the RFID reader has failed https://evie.com.au/contact-us/

  3. The Evie Pass RFID says it currently exists or is used by another account.

This is due to the RFID numbers being used on another account, some drivers have created multiple accounts using different emails and the Evie Pass RFID numbers remain on this account.

    • To resolve this, log into these accounts and check which Evie Pass RFID number has this number saved. Once found delete the RFID number, and this will allow you to input the RFID number on your preferred account.
Note: If you are unable to locate which account, you can request our team to investigate which account this is associated with and request us to remove that RFID from that account or you can reorder a new RFID.

  4. The Evie Pass RFID card is not working and the above steps have been checked.
Please contact support and we will issue you with a new Evie Pass.
