Which plug should I use?
When charging it’s important to know the plug type that is compatible with your car. Majority of EVs in Australia use the CCS2 charging standard, though some cars use CHAdeMO, like the Nissan Leaf.
Evie offers both CHAdeMO and CCS2 plugs on our network of charging stations.
If you aren’t sure which plug type you have, the easiest way to tell is to check the shape of the charge port on your car. CHAdeMO and CCS2 plus look quite different from each other.
Reference pictures are available on both the charger screen and in the Evie App so that you can be sure you are selecting the correct plug.
In the Evie App, you can also filter the map for your plug type, so you only see the number of plugs relevant to you at each station.
